Imperfectly Natural

The technique used to create these images of nature makes them imperfect. The final result is always unforeseeable. Several of the images are double or triple exposures and all final pieces were executed using ink-jet pigment transfer. This technique allows a wide margin of unpredictability and therefore, helps to reflect fragility of nature and climate.
This is not about falsifying nature but about revealing its beauty through a prism of unpredictability, impermanence and fragility.
The result of this project was achieved by blending two different techniques. The first is a perfectly controllable process of digital photography and the second – manual and partially uncontrollable process of transferring the ink on paper media. The synthesis of these two techniques is contributing to enhance visual and conceptual impact of the image.
